Best time for goal setting

In my last post, I mentioned that we should set goal clearly and daily.

Now, the question is, when is the BEST TIME?

Of course, it’s in the morning.  Not just in the morning, it should be FIRST Thing in the morning!

Yes, that’s what I mean!  The first thing when you wake up, instead of brushing your teeth, you should start writing your goal!  Your daily goal!

Remember, I mentioned that there are long term goal and short term goal (which for me I put it as daily goal).  Write down this daily goal!  It is important to write it down so that we are aware of our daily activities are geared and swift towards it.  On top, in the morning, when you just awake, your Alpha wave is at its most active period and according to scientist, Alpha wave is a superb learning mode!

Have you ever tried, when you were young (or maybe you still doing it now), rushing to study as much the night just before the exam, those you studied earlier, tend to be forgotten and seems that there is no way it can register in your mind, however, those that you studied, while you almost dozed off, surprisingly, can be recalled easily during the exam, and did you often asked yourself, did I really come across this subject?  Why is it so?  Because of Alpha Wave which begin to sync in just when you doze off!  (I will touch on this Alpha Wave in later posting) 

What I’m drifting here, not only it’s important to write down your goal in the first thing in the morning, but, do it again, at night, just before you turn for the bed!  So, it not only help us to review our day time activities if it is gel with our daily goal, but also, help us to register again, leveraging on the alpha wave to sink into ourselves about our daily goal!

Goal setting is like sharpening a knife.  The more you sharpened it, the sharper it will be!  Thus, best time to set goal is in the morning, first thing in the morning.  And for best result, set again just before you doze off!
