eBay delisting
Last Thr, listed MC’s bra in ebay US. Done 2 sales and on Sat, I gotten a warning email from ebay and Bragel Int.
They highlighted that the Bra was their patent product and we have infringe the patent and prepared a lawsuit if we do not stop selling. At the same time, eBay had also delisted all my listing reguarding the bra from US site.
In fact, it’s a blessing in disguised! You see, 2 days listing of 50+ items costed me about USD85. There were only 2 sales which total sales is only USD38, which mean it is a sure LOSE! Luckily, due to the delisting, ebay refunded me all my listing fees (excluding the 2 sales), and in returned, we do make some money!
I highlighted the situation to Carol and Andrew. Carol is not aware if their bra have file any patent, but Andrew is very sure that he did not. I did a quick check and found the bra patented in US, and some Europe but Asia. So, which mean, in Singapore, it is ok to sell the item as there is no item listed in IPOS. We decided not to list on ebay afterall.
John was pretty keen to launch the bra using PLF, however, after discussion, looking at the direction of Andrew’s decision on Nubra, they may want to wind up ASAP and sell it off to wholesaler to catch the Christmas seasons. So, we may not be able to try out PLF.
I’m actually keen with his system bra, and till now, they have difficuities to follow-thro on the fullfillment. Unless we have some good maker and willing to work on small quantity, system bra may not be seen in market in near future. I personally felt that the huge potential market in system bra and initially when i spoke to Andrew about marketing his bra was on system bra.
Well, it’s not a bad idea to be delisted from ebay afterall! ![]()
